I am the Technology & Communication Coordinator for USD #439. This will be my fourth year in the district. I am a network administrator with six years experience managing local area communications network (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) for organizations. Some of my responsibilities include network security, installing new hardware and software applications, monitoring software upgrades and daily activity, enforcing licensing agreements, developing a storage management program and providing routine backups, as well as ensuring that the district network is up and running at all times. I also maintain the district website for USD #439 and generate the monthly newsletter as well. At certain home sports, you can find me setup behind an iPad as the broadcaster for Sedgwick's High School Cube account!
Currently in our district I maintain just shy of 1,000 devices on two networks. We have a 1:1 laptop program in our 9-12 grade levels and we are working our way towards a 1:1 iPad initiative in our K-6 classrooms in the elementary building.
In my spare time, I love spending time on the golf course, attending my son (Parker)'s soccer and baseball games, and flying my drone when possible.
